teux deux

in keeping with the somewhat French theme this morning, here's an oldie but goodie (which is going to come in handy today). TeuxDeux lets you create lovely online to do lists & it works with your iPhone too. It's full of newly upgraded convenient features so go check it out . via & by the awesome swiss miss.

show & tell: present your work, 3 ways

DROP MOCKS
Probably my favorite because there's no signing up or uploading and it's so convenient when all you want is show a quick preview of your work. You literally drag files into the browser window and ta da. Then share the url with others for a quick online presentation. (watch your file size though, it doesn't like high rez stuff) www.dropmocks.com

CONNECT-A-SKETCH
Another pointlesscorp app, it basically allows you to upload your roughs & sketches and create an interactive prototype to be presented or shared. I'm still testing this one. www.connectasketch.com

PREZI
Shared by a colleague of mine, Prezi is pretty thorough, it does just about any file format, videos, etc... You mix all kinds of content and create your own version of a presentation. The tutorials are pretty helpful too. Start there if you're interested. www.prezi.com

feed stitch

another pointlesscorp app that improves our online lives: FeedStitch basically pulls all your feeds into one nicely streamed channel and you can access it from anywhere. Oh, it's free too. Sneaky & slick. Go untangle your digital life >>

uh... i lied. THIS is the website of the day.

post typography

First you gotta own the rules, then you can break them. I suppose this is an example of when breaking them works.

homegrown creative ♥

again, more work by some kansas city creatives. i love jordan's work & realized I never blogged about it so I'll be posting more homegrown love by local folks. It may not all be brand new to us in KC but it's work worth talking about for all the other folks out there.

creative mornings

www.creativemornings.com

Creative Mornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series of creative types. Each event is free of charge, and includes a 20 minute talk, plus coffee. I wish there was something like it in Kansas City. Hmm... maybe I'll just start my own.
